Laurence has a breadth of experience as an Incorporated Engineer having spent ten years with Blyth and Blyth in Edinburgh, six years in Arup’s Bristol office as well as two years working with a practice in the Seychelles. Laurence celebrated ten years with Structures One in 2005.
He is responsible for drawing production and its quality management throughout the office and continues to expand our civil/infrastructure design group and our knowledge and expertise in sustainable drainage systems (SUDS). Laurence’s team are now able to undertake separate commissions for pre-planning flood risk assessments for developers and architects.
Joint appointments for civil and structural engineering enable us to offer a co-ordinated and integrated design solution. Many projects allow us to crossover from traditional drainage engineering to working more closely with landscape architects and reed bed designers thus embracing the sustainable drainage philosophy of amenity, storage & water quality. Exemplar projects include Laurence’s SUDS designs for Chelston Park Nursing Home and Crief Monastery, in Yorkshire.
